I partnered with Diane during our move to a new facility. I was unaware of how many moving pieces and components needed to be perfectly orchestrated for a lab move to go well. Without Diane's deep knowledge and experience, it would have become my (and several others on the operations team) full-time job to execute our move. Even then, I'm sure there would have been hiccups. Diane was key to efficient use of our time on move-related tasks AND to the ridiculously fast start up on the other side of the move. While at McKinstry in 2018/2019, I was responsible for the company’s Workspace Solutions. One of the key projects for McKinstry’s corporate headquarters in Seattle was a +100,000 square foot, multi-year, ~$5M phased Workspace Refresh to support the growing McKinstry team. I hired Diane to assist with move planning, critical equipment inventories, furnishings tracking and to provide customer service support pre- and post-move. This was a complex project moving hundreds of employees in and out of workspaces to meet construction timelines, which required careful sequencing of moves. Diane did this work seamlessly and provided excellent customer service to the McKinstry employees, ensured that the moves, furnishings, and critical equipment relocation were done correctly, on time and on budget.
